years ago, far new gate city turned into the sprawling metropolis across the east coast as it now is, back when the continent was still merged as a whole united states, there was the infamous program nasa. at this time the country still had high hopes for the idea of space travel and often set out unmanned artificial shuttles to go out and take samples of worlds beyond. little did they know how dangerous the final frontier would really be. it was one of these unmanned spacecraft that would be more successful than it would ever imagine. not taking samples, but instead picking up four small extraterrestrial life forms.

they were forced from their home planet and brought to earth by accident, only to be captured by the government's science department to be brutally experimented on! but they were smarter than us humans had ever expected them to be, and they managed to escape! one of them, the youngest of the group, manages to hop a passing car during the escape, that car specifically the one of a young zeke von chaos and his family. zeke and his family just so happened to be moving to the budding opportunity that was new gate city, far from the dead decaying pseudo-nuclear wasteland that was outside the walls. their small family had hoped to start fresh and make it big in the big city despite the hardships they knew they would have to cross.

moving into their small apartment had been... strange to say the least. mostly because no matter how much they managed to tidy and unpack everything he and his family would always come home to find it absolutely trashed! but zeke was wise to the situation and was starting to develop his suspicions. and so he and his paraplegic younger brother teamed up to hunt down the source of the trouble!

they stayed up all night, but it wasn't until that morning that the little fella made himself known! chasing down the small alien creature only to further trash their house in the process. but alas, the little guy managed to escape, and the noise had managed to wake up their hard-working single mother. catching the boys amongst the mess she blamed them for the reoccurring trouble.

but it was only the first sighting on the ugc (unidentified grounded critter), the second time happening just outside the apartment complex. but upon chasing it this time zeke loses his balance and ends up slipping into the small manmade lake next to the complex, nearly drowning, only to be saved by the strange alien. amazed by the new mysterious creature of a friend that he made, zeke runs off to tell his family only to not be believed int he slightest.

the next night him and the debbie, the new friend he made at school, attempt to catch the critter. concocting a trap together, they are nearly successful! but upon attempting to suck the critter up into automatic vacuum the poor machine overlead and short circuits, causing a power surge to knock out power in the entire neighborhood. Thankfully it was at least successful in one way, as Zekes' younger brother was able to come in and see the creature before it once more escaped.
